Being a pioneer is rewarding and ultra-challenging. There is an old quote that, "Pioneers take all the arrows."

 

Metaphorically this means that being a front-runner means that you will arrive at obstacles before anybody else. You will be subjected to adversities, challenges, feedback and criticism that others will not.

 

As a pioneer, are you ready for that additional resistance?

 

Are you resilient enough to carry on?

 

Is your support system strong enough?

 

Are you emotionally strong?

 

The students in this challenge received an actual archery arrow to represent their status as pioneers. Some students chose to break their arrow  using only their necks and tremendous courage.
