SUSTAINABLE GROWTH

Here are some strategies for growing in a way that is lasting.

Very few things in our culture can sustain success . We often achieve success through compromise, by sacrificing something else to get there. So, as we rise, we are also vulnerable. This risk and reward relationship is a paradigm. We must work to understand how to create sustainable growth.

Here are some key considerations:

NETWORKING

Growth must be shared.

A collaborative community is critical for sustainability. We must share resources that are both wide and deep. These "roots" will determine the heights and longevity of our successes.

FOCUS

Purpose overcomes disadvantages.

Bamboo spend five years preparing because it's growth must be explosive. It cannot compete with the larger trees for light and resources. It must provide it's own until it reaches a competitive height.

Relate this to the overshadowed, less privileged circumstances that may affect growth.

GENERATIONAL THINKING

Always invest in your base.

The bamboo adapted it's cellular structure to drive resources back down to its base for constant strengthening of it's foundation.

Successful community members must reach back, contribute to keep the conditions ripe for growth.
