This was a team activity that required every member of
the team to participate to the best of their ability in
order for the team to be successful. There were also
some very clear consequences. If they did well, they
survived. If they did not perform well, they were
eliminated by a member of another team.
The teams
began by ranking their members as well as top players
from other teams in order of their physical, creative,
intellectual, and emotional abilities. The teams then
faced a series of challenges from each of those
categories. They also had to oblige by the Code of the
Samurai remembering to be ready at once, as hesitation
kills; to accept all challenges, as fear kills; to die
with honor, as regret kills; and that they have no
enemies as self-deception kills.
The
objective of the game was to show that the Code of the
Samurai is very effective at the art of living.
-
When we
hesitate in our life, opportunities pass us by. Not
knowing and losing out on things brings out a stress
or tension which is toxicity. Living in the realm of
unknowing kills.
-
Regret
kills. One of the biggest regrets in people's lives
is that they killed off a relationship that was
important to them.
-
Don't
make enemies when there are no enemies. If you take
the time to connect with other people and
communicate, you will realize you are actually
deceiving yourself and everything is actually fine.
